The price of cobalt intermediate products went up slightly this week. Despite the summer break, strong overseas demand persisted for alloy-grade refined cobalt and mine discount rates continued to climb. Mines are now more willing to sell following recent cobalt price drops. The end of stocking by overseas buyers, summer break, coupled with a likely drop in China's demand, will push overseas cobalt prices down and lower the price of cobalt intermediate products.
