SHANGHAI, Jun 30 (SMM) –The SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index was 307,600 yuan/mt today June 30, down 500 yuan/mt from the previous working day; battery-grade lithium carbonate prices were 299,000-315,000 yuan/mt, the same as the previous working day; industrial-grade lithium carbonate prices were 289,000-298,000 yuan/mt, the same as the previous working day.
Near the end of the month, the wait-and-see sentiment in the market led to a decline in trading activity. And considering the downstream stock replenishment cycle, lithium carbonate smelters intend to hold offers firm and hesitate to sell.
There will still be certain uncertainties in the market. In view of deadlock between sellers and buyers, possible downstream stocking may lift market prices.
