Average Operating Rate Across Copper Foil Producers To Come In At 84.01% In June

In June, it is expected that the average operating rate of lithium battery copper foil will continue to increase by 11 percentage points to 87.84%.

The average operating rate in the electronic circuit copper foil industry will fall amid finished product inventory accumulation and the absence of improvement in new orders. In May, the domestic retail penetration rate of new energy vehicles was 33.3%, an increase of 6.7 percentage points from the 26.6% penetration rate in the same period last year.

The inventory of auto dealers continued to fall, and the  China Auto Dealer Inventory Warning Index dropped to 55.4%, falling to the lowest for January to May in the past two years. This is expected to drive demand to continue to pick up. On the energy storage front, despite sluggish new orders, demand from large energy storage companies for lithium battery copper foil will grow further thanks to market demand and policy support.
