SHANGHAI, Jun 12 (SMM) – The mainstream transaction prices of monocrystalline silicon wafer M10 and G12 were 3.65 yuan/piece and 5.28 yuan/piece respectively last week. The prices of silicon wafers continued to drop sharply. The current inventory of silicon wafers is about 1.5 billion pieces, highlighting enormous pressure to destock. The collapse of polysilicon prices will enable downstream solar cell makers to bargain down silicon wafer purchase prices further.
