SHANGHAI, May 26 (SMM) - With stable international energy prices and loosened import policies, coal imports are high this year, which has left domestic supply abundant, thus curbing the upward trend of domestic coal prices to a certain extent. Affected by the poor performance of demand and persistently high supply, domestic coal inventories have accumulated rapidly and hit record highs. At present, the off-season of coal market has not yet ended. Coal demand will grow in June with arrival of peak season, but high inventory will curb price gains.
