SHANGHAI, May 22 (SMM) - Prices of lithium carbonate extended gains last week. Most lithium carbonate smelters held back cargoes due to bullish sentiment, while battery material factories mainly restocked as needed.

Most lithium carbonate smelters held back cargoes due to bullish sentiment, while battery material factories mainly restocked as needed. Market quotations were chaotic. The short-term prices are poised to climb further. However, after market sentiment cools down, prices will be subject to fundamentals again.
