SHANGHAI, May 16 (SMM) - Losses of #430 stainless steel mills expanded in April due to falling steel prices and rising costs. Stainless steel prices fell slightly in late April amid growing social inventories. On the raw material side, high-carbon ferrochrome prices rebounded in the second half of April.
Mild gains of #430 stainless steel prices will allow mills’ losses to ease slightly in May.
