SHANGHAI, May 16 (SMM) - With the passing of peak season, new orders from downstream enterprises have begun to dwindle.

SHANGHAI, May 16 (SMM) - With the passing of peak season, new orders from downstream enterprises have begun to dwindle. Some aluminium wire and cable companies slowed down order delivery. The operating rates of aluminium wire and cable companies are expected to drop slightly. The inventories of finished products have increased at both aluminium rod makers and downstream wire and cable companies. Despite softening demand, the conversion margins of aluminium rods are expected to hold stable or even rebound due to potential decline in aluminium prices.
