SHANGHAI, May 12 (SMM) – On the supply side, the operating rates of DMC factories increased slightly this week, and DMC factories in Jiangsu have resumed operations.

SHANGHAI, May 12 (SMM) – On the supply side, the operating rates of DMC factories increased slightly this week, and DMC factories in Jiangsu have resumed operations. DMC factories in Zhejiang and Inner Mongolia plan to put new capacity into operation in the near future.

From the perspective of DMC raw materials, the average price of #421 silicon metal (for use in silicone) in east China stood at 16,900 yuan/mt as of May 11, unchanged from a week ago. The prices of methyl chloride in Shandong dipped 150 yuan/mt to 2,100 yuan/mt.
