India should ban diesel-powered vehicles in cities with a population of more than one million and in heavily polluted towns by 2027 as part of the country's green transformation, according to a report commissioned by the country's Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MOP&NG). It also recommended phasing out internal combustion engine motorbikes, scooters and three-wheelers by 2035.
