EAF to Contribute Heavily to "Green Production" in China's Steel Industry

Fu Jianguo, deputy general manager of Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. of China Baowu Iron and Steel Group, said at the promotion conference that Baowu’s design capacity of EAFs built and under construction in China is 9.422 million mt.

Fu Jianguo, deputy general manager of Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. of China Baowu Iron and Steel Group, said at the promotion conference that Baowu’s design capacity of EAFs built and under construction in China is 9.422 million mt.

This includes 8.422 million mt that has been built and 1 million mt that is under construction.

Baosteel has built two EAFs with a production capacity of 2.042 million mt. In the future, low-carbon EAF production lines will be built in Zhanjiang and overseas.
