China Dominates 30% of Global Auto Market in First Quarter 2023

Cui Dongshu, secretary general of the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), said that the global car sales in the first quarter of 2023 reached 20.38 million units, a year-on-year growth of 4%, but still 14% lower than the high level reached in recent years. Thanks to improved chip supply, the operation of the global auto industry has improved significantly, leading to improved sales of international auto companies.

In the first quarter 2023, China accounted for 30% of global auto market.
