The Ministry of Finance announced the issuance of local government bonds and debt balances in March.
From January to March 2023, 1.67 trillion yuan of new local have been issued nationwide.
440.3 billion yuan of refinancing bonds were issued nationwide, including 279 billion yuan of general bonds and 161.3 billion yuan of special bonds.
A total of 2.1097 trillion yuan of local government bonds were issued nationwide, including 591.6 billion yuan of general bonds and 1.518 trillion yuan of special bonds.
In terms of provinces, in the first quarter of this year, the issuance of local bonds in the six provinces of Hebei, Zhejiang, Fujian, Shandong, Guangdong, and Sichuan exceeded 100 billion yuan, with 121.4 billion yuan, 135.3 billion yuan, 101.5 billion yuan, and 101.5 billion yuan, 193.2 billion yuan, 162.4 billion yuan, and 159.3 billion yuan respectively.
In the first quarter, Shandong Province ranked first in the province with the issuance of local bonds of 193.2 billion yuan.
