On Thursday April 27, Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Secretary-General Haitham Al Ghais slammed the International Energy Agency (IEA), saying the IEA should be very careful not to undermine investment in the oil industry.
OPEC's comments came in response to previous remarks by IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol.
Birol said on Wednesday that OPEC should be cautious about actions to boost oil prices because they could damage the global economy.
