Beijing Plans to Build Numerous Indemnificatory Housing Projects This Year

The official website of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued a notice on the city’s affordable housing construction fundraising plan (first batch) in 2023, calling for the full completion of the construction and financing of 80,000 sets (units) of affordable rental housing and the completion of 90,000 various types of indemnificatory housing in 2023. The annual construction investment target stands at 130 billion yuan.

There are a total of 46 projects and 50,100 housing units included in the new construction plan this year.Among them, 35 projects are planned to start construction in 2023, with 41,300 housing units; there are 11 reserve projects with 8,800 housing units.

Among the 35 projects planned to start construction within this year, there are 4 public rental housing units with 3,700 units, 20 affordable rental housing units with 22,800 units, and 11 resettlement housing units with 14,800 units.
