SMM Daily Comments (Apr 21): Iron Ore Plunged, Metals Prices Fell across the Board, Crude Oil Posted 3-Day Losing Streak

Today, the U.S. dollar gained ground. The dollar rose slightly in the afternoon. As of 15:25 China standard time, the U.S. dollar index rose 0.2%.

SHANGHAI, Apr 21 (SMM) – Today, the U.S. dollar gained ground. The dollar rose slightly in the afternoon. As of 15:25 China standard time, the U.S. dollar index rose 0.2%.

Crude oil futures fell for three consecutive days. As of 15:27, WTI oil and Brent oil fell more than 0.6%.

As of the closing of the intraday trading, SHFE tin dropped 2.75%, SHFE nickel fell 2.74%, SHFE copper and aluminium were down 1.18%, and SHFE lead and zinc declined about 0.7%.

Stainless steel prices dipped 0.29%, rebar prices slumped 2.28%, hot-rolled coil fell 2.27%, coke fell 2.51%, coking coal fell 3.51%, and iron ore prices plummeted by 4.82%.
