SHANGHAI, Apr 20 (SMM) – The wait-and-see sentiment of buyers in rare earth market intensified, leading to scarce trades. After China Northern Rare Earth lowered its prices of rare earth concentrates, market pessimism was aggravated, triggering sell-off.
Import and export: China's rare earth exports amounted to 7,391.2 mt from January to February 2023, down 5.6% from the same period last year.
China's rare earth imports from South-east Asia rose sharply in Q1 2023. Considering that Myanmar is about to enter the rainy season in the second and third quarter, imports from South-east Asia may fall steeply compared with the first quarter.
