Operating Rates of Aluminium Wire and Cable Companies Improve Greatly in Mar with Improvement in Construction and Goods Pick-up of State Grid

SHANGHAI, Apr 13 (SMM) - SMM survey showed that the average operating rate of aluminium wire and cable producers stood at 49% in March, up 11.9 percentage points MoM and 8.9 percentage points YoY. The average operating rate of large, medium-sized and small enterprises was 60.3%, 37.8% and 59% respectively, up 12.7 percentage points, 7.3 percentage points and 32.5 percentage points MoM.

In March, the high delivery volume encouraged the enterprises’ production. The large enterprises had relatively full orders and production schedules in the month, and they mostly produced according to orders. Previously, output released by the small ones was low due to various reasons. In March, the enterprises generally increased production amid the improved market, and medium-sized companies slightly ramped up their production. While companies in some regions got lower-than-expected orders.
