On Tuesday Apr 11 local time, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) lowered its forecast for global economic growth in 2023 in the latest World Economic Outlook Report.
It warned that due to negative factors such as the banking crisis, high inflation and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the global economic outlook faces a high degree of uncertainty.
It is estimated that the global economic growth rate in 2023 will be 2.8%, which is 0.1 percentage point lower than the forecast in January this year; the growth rate in 2024 is expected to be 3.0%, which was also lowered by 0.1 percentage point compared with the forecast in January this year.
