Hunan Changyuan Lico Intends to Build Cathode Material Production Base in Europe

On March 27, Hunan Changyuan Lico announced that the company recently signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Axens Group with regard to the construction of ternary cathode material plant in Europe.

Axens, a subsidiary of French Petroleum Energy Research Institute, is an international project solution provider whose services cover sintering furnace, module unit, catalyst, adsorbent and many other fields.

In this cooperation, Hunan Changyuan Lico will establish a joint venture with Axens by contributing technology and capital or technical support. The goal is to build ternary precursor and ternary cathode material capacity in France in light of the demand of European customers, and to promote the mass production of medium and high-nickel ternary cathode materials and precursors in Europe.

Hunan Changyuan Lico said that the signing of this MOU between the company and Axens is conducive to achieving complementary advantages, helping it accelerate the exploration of overseas markets, and at the same time further enhancing its overall competitiveness.
