China to Implement New Cooker Hoods Standard in 2024

The national standard of Cooker Hoods and Other Cooking Fume Suction and Exhaust Devices will be officially implemented on January 1, 2024, and will fully replace GB/T 17713-2011 Cooker Hoods after its implementation.

This standard, based on the current situation of the industry of range hoods in China, the development prospects and the problems that should be studied and solved, revised the like of naming, scope, general requirements, safety performance as well as noise.

The standard optimises and upgrades the performance of range hoods and other cooking fume suction and exhaust devices related to consumer experience, so that consumers can use them safely.
