421# Silicon Metal Prices Have Crashed Below Last Year’s Bottom

SHANGHAI, Mar 23 (SMM) – SMM data shows that the prices of 421# silicon metal in Kunming city, Yunnan province, lost 1,400 yuan/mt or 8% from before Chinese New Year (CNY) levels to 17,000-17,300 yuan/mt as of March 21. The prices are already below the lowest level seen last year when prices hit a low of 17,400-17,700 yuan/mt.
