Construction Machinery Market Picked Up, The Year-On-Year Decline in Domestic Sales of Excavators Narrowed and Growth Rate of Exports Increased in February

SHANGHAI, Mar 21 (SMM) - In February 2023, excavator sales across 26 producers totalled 21,450 units, down 12.4% year, according to CCMA. Sales in Chinese domestic markets decreased 32.6% to 11,492 units, and export sales rose 34% YoY to 9,958 units. From January to February, a total of 31,893 excavators were a year-on-year decrease of 20.4%. The domestic sales were 14,929 units, down 41.1% YoY, and the exports stood at 16,964 units, up 14.9% YoY. The year-on-year decline in excavator sales in February narrowed 20.7 percentage points from the previous month, of which the year-on-year decline in domestic sales narrowed 25.9 percentage points from the previous month, and the year-on-year growth rate of export sales increased.
