SHANGHAI, Mar 21 (SMM) - In February, the prices of EMM dropped amid sufficient supply, but the downstream consumption was weak. Although the overall costs increased in light of rising electricity prices in some areas, the profits of EMM plants were acceptable. Coupled with the high inventory pressure, EMM plants delivered actively. It is expected that EMM prices may be slightly stable in March.

The prices of ferrochrome dropped in February. Although the bid prices offered by mainstream stainless steel factories rose more than expected, prices of ferrochrome fell amid weak transactions and poor market confidence. It is expected that the prices of ferrochrome in March will stabilise affected by costs and bid prices.
