SHANGHAI, Mar 20 (SMM) - Spot #304 stainless steel prices fell further last week. A stainless steel mill in south China cancelled the price limit, and traders offered quotes according to their in-plant stocks, which caused panic in the market. The price difference between cold and hot-rolled stainless steel quickly restored. The transactions did not improve significantly, as some processing factories only restocked in a small amount. The agents were less willing to pick up cargoes, and they focused on shipping the high-priced goods which were stored earlier, leading to an accumulation in the market supply. The overall market inventory is still high, which is unlikely to be consumed in the short term.
