SHANGHAI, Mar 16 (SMM) - China imported 740,600 mt of copper concentrates from Chile, up 44,100 mt or 6.34% MoM. Shipments of copper concentrates from the country were 108,400 mt in November, up 300 mt from October. Imports from Peru were 573,100 mt, down 1.81% or 10,600 mt MoM. In November 2022, a total of 548,500 mt of copper concentrates were shipped from Peru, a decrease of 208,800 mt MoM.
China imported 20,200 mt of copper concentrates from Canada in December 2022, down 66.21% or 39,500 mt month-on-month; 21,500 mt from the US, down 85,000 mt or 79.78% month-on-month; and 40,400 mt from Panama, down 31,000 mt or 43.42% MoM.
China imported 146,700 mt of copper concentrates from Mongolia, up 74,200 mt or 102.17% month-on-month; and 119,500 mt from Kazakhstan, down 30,300 mt or 20.21% month-on-month. The import volume of copper concentrates from Indonesia was 30,700 mt, a decrease of 50.93% or 31,800 mt month-on-month. In November, shipments from the major ports in Indonesia were 304,600 mt, up 145,700 mt from October.
China imported 19,500 mt of copper concentrates from Spain in December 2022, down 39,500 mt or 66.91% month-on-month.
