SHANGHAI, Mar 15 (SMM) – In February, all lead-acid battery companies resumed production after Chinese New Year holidays. Dealers replenished their inventories following the holiday.
Orders of various battery companies picked up significantly, and the operating rates of enterprises increased rapidly. In this scenario, the procurement of lead ingots picked up especially after the Chinese Lantern Festival (February 5), destocking inventory of lead ingots.
In March, the traditional off-season for lead-acid battery kept major enterprises producing based on sales. But a longer period of production in March (31 calendar days) will help increase lead consumption further.
