SHANGHAI, Mar 15 (SMM) - Last week, the profits of producing nickel sulphate with various raw materials were low. The delayed commissioning of new MHP production capacity tightened the nickel sulphate supply, while the demand has been growing. The nickel salt factories had to accept high-priced raw materials as a result. The high-grade nickel matte supply also reduced greatly. In January, some production lines of high-grade nickel matte were switched back to produce NPI. The increase in the prices of raw materials and the low purchase prices offered by downstream companies squeezed the profit margins of nickel salt plants and even brought some companies losses.
