SHANGHAI, Mar 14 (SMM) - As the end consumption has gradually softened, traders lost their buying interest and some lead-acid battery makers saw their new orders decline. However, orders from electric bicycles remained decent and demand from automotive industry has shown signs of improving, thus medium and large lead-acid battery plants barely adjusted their production schedules. Lead-acid battery plants restocked as needed amid falling lead prices and regional supply tightness. Transaction activity in the spot market improved in the second half of the week.
