SHANGHAI, Mar 8 (SMM) - According to SMM survey, the inventories of iron ore concentrates carried by domestic mines increased from 2.5 million mt or 10.1 days to 2.79 million mt or 11.2 days in February since the truck transportation in south-west China and Shanxi province was hindered.
In some areas, mines which maintained low operating rates and held low in-plant stocks refused to ship their goods amid the high iron ore prices and the growing demand from steel mills.
In March, the iron ore concentrate stocks carried by domestic mines will fall with the resumption of truck transportation in south-west China and Shanxi.
