In 2023, a total of 191 major projects have been arranged in Shanghai, with an annual planned investment of 215 billion yuan, including 15 new projects, 26 completed projects within the year, and 48 preparatory projects. According to the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-rural Development and Shanghai Major Projects Construction Headquarters Office, more than half of the major projects in 2023 have recently started construction, involving fields such as science and technology industry, social livelihood, ecological civilisation and urban infrastructure.
