Polysilicon Prices to Fall in the Near Term

The mainstream quotes of recharging polysilicon stood at 240-260 yuan/kg, and those of dense polysilicon at 210-250 yuan/kg. However, with the cooling of the market, the bearish sentiment in the market has gradually strengthened.

SHANGHAI, Feb 24 (SMM) - The mainstream quotes of recharging polysilicon stood at 240-260 yuan/kg, and those of dense polysilicon at 210-250 yuan/kg. However, with the cooling of the market, the bearish sentiment in the market has gradually strengthened.

The average traded price has begun to move downward, with the price for big orders of dense polysilicon as low as around 220 yuan/kg. Most of the downstream buyers stood on the sidelines. The second- and third-tier companies are watching the order placing of the first-tier silicon wafer companies.

The price is expected to fall at the month-end.
