SHANGHAI, Feb 16 (SMM) – According to SMM's survey, some downstream enterprises said that the current price of lithium salt is relatively close to their desired level and demand is likely to recover.

SHANGHAI, Feb 16 (SMM) – According to SMM's survey, some downstream enterprises said that the current price of lithium salt is relatively close to their desired level and demand is likely to recover. Hence, they intend to purchase some lithium salt at prices lower than the market price. And as the price of lithium salt continued to drop, the price difference between industrial-grade lithium carbonate and battery-grade lithium carbonate kept widening. Some companies plan to purchase industrial-grade lithium carbonate and then process them into battery-grade lithium carbonate so as to maximize their own profits.
