China's continued need for more electricity to run global factories and to provide charging services for the largest electric vehicle market shows that China's urgent need for more power will push global power demand to new heights.

According to the International Energy Agency's (IEA) annual electricity report, by 2025, the world's annual increase in electricity consumption will be roughly equivalent to the current consumption of the United Kingdom and Germany. China is expected to account for a third of global electricity demand by then.
