SHANGHAI, Feb 6 (SMM) - Most lead-acid battery manufacturers and traders ended their CNY break on January 28-29, while the rest will not return until after the Lantern Festival. Due to slow production recovery, the battery shipments were mainly finished product inventories, especially in the e-bike battery sector. While lead prices bottomed out after the holiday, battery prices diverged. Imminent off-season left e-bike battery traders in a rush to sell at lower prices. Automotive battery traders were under significant inventory pressure as they stockpiled aggressively when battery manufacturers lowered their prices to promote sales before the CNY holiday. But a handful of automotive battery manufacturers raised their selling prices by 2% after the holiday.
