One of the four workshops under the Phase I project has been put into production.

At the beginning of a new year, Yunnan Kuntian New Energy Co., Ltd. has successfully completed the plant construction and shakedown test of the first phase of its 200,000-mt lithium battery anode material project. One of the four workshops under the Phase I project has been put into production. Other workshops will all be commissioned by the end of March 2023, with an estimated output value of 1.5 billion yuan during the year.

It is reported the total investment of the project is about 5.6 billion yuan, covering an area of about 1,500 mu. The project will be constructed in three phases, of which, the investment is also divided toi 1.1 billion, 2.2 billion and 2.3 billion yuan.

So far, the second phase of the project is under assessment. It should be noted that Phase II boasts 50,000 mt of high-end silicon-carbon anode material capacity. Once completed, it will be China's largest production base for high-end power battery anode materials. Compared with other anode materials, silicon-carbon anode materials have high capacity and are primarily used in high-end new energy vehicles with bright market prospects.
