Hunan Changyuan Lico Boasts 120,000 mt of Ternary Cathode Material Capacity

SHANGHAI, Feb 1 (SMM) - Hunan Changyuan Lico said in a recent investigation that the company's operating and under-construction ternary cathode material capacity totals about 120,000 mt, including 10,000 mt at the Lugu base, 30,000 mt at the Tongguan base, and 80,000 mt at the Gaoxin base.

It is expected that some capacity under construction will be ramped up in the first quarter of this year. Meanwhile, the company's mass production of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode materials will kick off in the second quarter of this year after the trial production completes, with an estimated output of 20,000-30,000 mt for 2023.

In addition, Hunan Changyuan Lico this year will complete the construction of a sodium cathode material production line with a capacity of more than 1,000 mt.
