SHANGHAI, Jan 30 (SMM) - Today, the high-carbon ferrochrome in Inner Mongolia was quoted at 9,000-9,100 yuan/mt (Cr50%) today, up 200 yuan/mt (Cr50%) from the previous trading day.
After the Chinese New Year holiday, the prices of ferrochrome rose. Although the enterprises resumed the production, the actual market transactions were few. However, the market was bullish about the market. Coupled with the low inventory of chrome ore, low arrivals and strong expectations for increasing demand, the prices of chrome ore continued to rise. As such, the costs of ferrochrome increased further and the prices of ferrochrome will be relatively strong in the near future.
