SHANGHAI, Jan 30 (SMM) - According to the latest research report released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), the installed capacity of new energy vehicle's power batteries saw a month-on-month increase of 12.1 GWh in December 2022. The sales of LFP batteries still maintained a rapid growth in 2022 and accounted for 55.6% of the market share, overtaking that of ternary batteries.

In terms of battery exterior, prismatic batteries still topped with a market share of 93.2% in 2022. The market demand for pouch batteries and cylindrical batteries is on the rise, but their sales share has not improved.
