SHANGHAI, Jan 19 (SMM) - Prices of #6517 silicon-manganese were 7,300-7,350 yuan/mt in north China markets in cash, flat from the previous trading day, and those in south China markets moved between 7,350-7,400 yuan/mt. According to SMM, the operating rates in north China were stable, while that in south China declined due to poor profits. Some SiMn manufacturers reported that the market is optimistic about the post-holiday demand as steel mills will restock after the CNY holiday.
