National Bureau of Statistics: Income and Consumption Expenditure of Residents in 2022

Domestic per capita disposable income of residents stood at 36,883 yuan, a nominal increase of 5.0% year-on-year, and an actual increase of 2.9% excluding the price factor. Domestic per capita disposable income of residents in rural areas stood at 49,283 yuan, a nominal increase of 3.9% year-on-year, and an actual increase of 1.9% excluding the price factor. Domestic per capita disposable income of residents in rural areas stood at 20,133 yuan, a nominal increase of 6.3% year-on-year, and an actual increase of 4.2% excluding the price factor.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics:

1. Income of residents

Domestic per capita disposable income of residents stood at 36,883 yuan, a nominal increase of 5.0% year-on-year, and an actual increase of 2.9% excluding the price factor. Domestic per capita disposable income of residents in rural areas stood at 49,283 yuan, a nominal increase of 3.9% year-on-year, and an actual increase of 1.9% excluding the price factor. Domestic per capita disposable income of residents in rural areas stood at 20,133 yuan, a nominal increase of 6.3% year-on-year, and an actual increase of 4.2% excluding the price factor.

In terms of income sources, in 2022, the per capita wage income of residents was 20,590 yuan, an increase of 4.9%, accounting for 55.8% of disposable income; the per capita net operating income was 6,175 yuan, an increase of 4.8%, accounting for 16.7% of disposable income %; per capita net property income was 3,227 yuan, an increase of 4.9%, accounting for 8.7% of disposable income; per capita net transfer income was 6,892 yuan, an increase of 5.5%, accounting for 18.7% of disposable income.

In 2022, the median per capita disposable income of residents increased 4.7% to 31,370 yuan, which is 85.1% of the average. Among them, the median per capita disposable income of urban residents increased 3.7% to 45,123 yuan, which is 91.6% of the average; the median per capita disposable income of rural residents increased 4.9% to 17,734 yuan, which is 88.1% of the average.

2. Consumption expenditure

In 2022, domestic per capita consumption expenditure of residents stood at 24,538 yuan, a nominal increase of 1.8% year-on-year, and an actual decrease of 0.2% excluding the price factor. The per capita consumption expenditure of urban residents was 30,391 yuan, a nominal increase of 0.3%, and an actual decrease of 1.7% after deducting price factors; the per capita consumption expenditure of rural residents was 16,632 yuan, a nominal increase of 4.5%, and an actual increase of 2.5% after deducting price factors.

In 2022, the per capita food, tobacco and alcohol consumption expenditure was 7,481 yuan, an increase of 4.2%, accounting for 30.5% of the per capita consumption expenditure; the per capita clothing consumption expenditure was 1365 yuan, a decrease of 3.8%, accounting for 5.6% of the per capita consumption expenditure; residential consumption expenditure was 5,882 yuan, an increase of 4.3%, accounting for 24.0%; per capita daily necessities and service consumption expenditure was 1,432 yuan, an increase of 0.6%, accounting for 5.8%; per capita transportation and communication consumption expenditure was 3,195 yuan, an increase of 1.2%, accounting for 13%; per capita consumption expenditure on education, culture and entertainment was 2,469 yuan, a decrease of 5.0%, accounting for 10.1%; per capita medical and health care consumption expenditure was 2,120 yuan, an increase of 0.2%, accounting for 8.6%; per capita consumption expenditure of other goods and services was 595 yuan, an increase of 4.6%, accounting for 2.4%.
