Silicon Wafer Companies Pass Cost Pressure to Downstream Buyers Following Polysilicon Price Rally

SHANGHAI, Jan 17 (SMM) - According to SMM survey, on the morning of January 17, a top-tier Chinese silicon wafer company once again announced sharp price hike.

SHANGHAI, Jan 17 (SMM) - According to SMM survey, on the morning of January 17, a top-tier Chinese silicon wafer company once again announced sharp price hike. It raised its prices of 182 mm silicon wafers to 4.45 yuan/piece, an increase of 0.55 yuan/piece from yesterday, and 210 mm silicon wafers to 5.8 yuan/piece, an increase of 0.7 yuan/piece from yesterday.

Following the significant rise in polysilicon prices yesterday, silicon wafer enterprises tried to pass their cost pressure to downstream buyers.
