SHANGHAI, Jan 13 (SMM) - Peruvian mining company Minsur said in a statement on Thursday January 12 that it suspended the operation of the San Rafael tin mine.
The mine, one of the largest tin mines in the world, is located in the southern region of Puno, where anti-government protests have erupted.
"We have been reducing operations and our largest production line - the mine - has been temporarily suspended," the statement said.
