Global Iron Ore Shipments Fell 2.1% week-on-week to 33.15 Million mt during December 24-30

SHANGHAI, Jan 3 (SMM) - SMM statistics showed that the global iron ore shipments totalled 33.15 million mt in the week ending December 30, a drop of 2.1% week-on-week.

The four major mining companies shipped a combined 22.66 million mt of iron ore last week, a drop of 2 million mt from a week earlier.

Iron ore arrivals at Chinese ports dropped 8.4% on a weekly basis to 21.73 million mt last week.
