SiMn Prices Rise Slightly and Manufacturers Hold a Bullish Outlook

SHANGHAI, Dec 19 (SMM) - The prices of #6517 silicon-manganese were 7,250-7,300 yuan/mt in north China markets in cash, flat from the previous trading day, and those in south China markets moved between 7,350-7,400 yuan/mt, up 50 yuan/mt. According to SMM, due to the demand for winter storage at the end of the year and the favourable macro front, the prices of SiMn rose slightly. It is difficult to purchase low-priced goods and SiMn manufacturers held a bullish outlook. However, the enterprises were less willing to purchase high-priced goods. In the later period, with the launch of a new round of SiMn bidding and winter storage by major steel mills, the overall demand may increase.
