SHANGHAI, Dec 9 (SMM) - Recently, a major battery cell maker has solicited bids for electrolyte to be delivered next year. It has ordered roughly 600,000 mt of electrolyte via this round of bid solicitations, which could meet 80% of its next year’s needs. The battery cell makers’ electrolyte demand for next year maintained high growth.  

Its electrolyte bid prices will be linked to SMM lithium carbonate prices. 

1 mt of solid and liquid lithium hexafluorophosphate requires 0.28-0.33 mt of lithium carbonate and 0.08 mt of lithium carbonate respectively. 1 mt of solid lithium hexafluorophosphate is equivalent to 3 mt of lithium hexafluorophosphate.
