Global iron ore shipments fell 0.7% week-on-week to 31.43 million mt during October 31-November 4

SHANGHAI, Nov 7 (SMM) - SMM statistics showed that the global iron ore shipments totalled 31.43 million mt in the week ending November 4, a drop of 0.7% week-on-week.

The four major mining companies shipped a combined 22.93 million mt of iron ore last week, an increase of 381,000 mt from a week earlier.

A total of 24.5 million mt of iron ore arrived at Chinese ports last week, down 7.8% week-on-week.
