GAC: China Imports and Exports Combined Increased 10.7% YoY in Value in the First Three Quarters

In the first three quarters of 2022, the total value of China's imports and exports amounted to 31.11 trillion yuan, an increase of 9.9% over the same period last year.

SHANGHAI, Sep 24 (SMM) - In the first three quarters of 2022, the total value of China's imports and exports amounted to 31.11 trillion yuan, an increase of 9.9% over the same period last year, according to General Administration of Customs. Among them, exports were 17.67 trillion yuan, an increase of 13.8%, and imports were 13.44 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.2%. The trade surplus expanded 53.7% to 4.23 trillion yuan. In dollar terms, the total value of China’s imports and exports rose 8.7% YoY to 4.75 trillion US dollars. Among them, exports increased by 12.5% to 2.7 trillion US dollars and imports grew 4.1% to 2.05 trillion US dollars. The trade surplus expanded 51.6% to 645.15 billion US dollars.
