SHANGHAI, Sep 14 (SMM) - China's power battery output totalled 47.2 GWh in July, up 14% MoM and 172% YoY. The output of ternary batteries was 16.6 GWh, a decrease of 9.4% MoM, but up 107.7% YoY. The output of LFP batteries skyrocketed 33.5% MoM and 228% YoY to 30.6 GWh, a new record high. As a result, the proportion of LFP battery in the total power battery output expanded 10 percentage points to 64%, while that of ternary batteries shrank to 35%.
In contrast to the surge in power battery output, its installed capacity declined on a month-on-month basis, with details shown in the table below.
