SHANGHAI, Sep 7 (SMM) – According to SMM survey, the average operating rate of blast furnaces of steel mills rose 0.15 percentage point from a week ago to 94.5% as of September 7. The average capacity utilisation rate of blast furnaces gained 0.13 percentage point week-on-week to 95.13%.
The daily average pig iron output of the steel mills in SMM’s survey sample stood at 2.28 million mt this week, an increase of 3,200 mt from the previous week. SMM estimates that the daily average pig iron output across the country stood at 2.71 million mt, up 3,700 mt on a weekly basis.
